A: No. But we have a good alternative. Go through the purchase process in our shopping cart and you can send the product directly from us to the recipient.
Our system allows you to draft a note online that we will hand-write and include with the shipped package. (If you want something tangible to give in the meantime, print one of the pages from our Web site, write a note and mail or email that in advance.)
A: Shipping and handling is included in the bottle price. We exclusively use the U.S.P.S. (U.S. Postal Service) Priority Mail service, and we also employ the USPS "delivery confirmation" service. The rest of our handling service includes secure packing for shipment of a fragile item and for a liquid, plus gift packaging and, when requested by purchaser for any third-party gift, a hand-written note.
A: We will provide all USPS orders with a tracking number back to (and via) the email used during purchase. The tracking number will be sent before the order has been shipped.
A: We strive to ship the same week of your order. Since we bottle in small batches (to allow continuing ageing of our balsamic), we may not have bottled product ready when your order arrives. In that case, we bottle and ship all orders within 2-3 weeks of order receipt. (Let's remember: balsamic is all about patience, followed by delight.)
A: No. We have found that foreign customs services frequently reject most foods, especially liquids. This makes overseas shipping of balsamic impractical.
A: We do not accept online orders from outside the United States UNLESS they are delivered by us inside the U.S. and you have made your own separate arrangements for transshipment to your final location. We sincerely regret any and all inconvenience this may cause you.
A: We will accept return of unblemished, unopened and unused bottles of our balsamic, but, since this is a food product, we must be very strict in determining the status of any returns and possible refunds. The final decision on this is ours alone. Any dollar refunds, if approved by us, will go to the original purchaser only.
A: If damaged in shipping, we will replace the product as soon as we receive the damaged goods, and when we have newly bottled, finished product to replace it. Your assistance in documenting the damage also will be needed as part of any insurance claim.
